How to Fix Your Computer’s Trusted Platform Module has Malfunctioned Error

The Trusted Platform Module is the service that used to protect your PC, but unfortunately sometimes you may face the error your computer’s trusted platform module has malfunctioned error in Microsoft Teams or any other Microsoft 365 applications.

When you login to your computer with your Microsoft 365 credentials, windows saves your credentials in Windows Credential Manager. When it fails to store you will get this error. So to resolve that we can clear all the existing Microsoft 365 credentials.

Step 1: Clear Credential Manager

• Open Credential Manager by searching for “credential” in start menu.
• Once the Credential Manager opened click on “Windows Credentials” button.

• Look for entry “SSO_POP_Device” & remove it

Step 2: Disconnect your work or school account

• Open windows settings & go to “Accounts” option & chose “Access work or school” menu

• On the following screen Disconnect your Microsoft 365 account

Once it disconnects try to login to any of Office 365 applications & see whether Your Computer’s Trusted Platform Module has Malfunctioned Error has disappeared
